How it works
One week, start to finish.
Fempower isn't something you have to remember to use. It shows up when a symptom does, and again when it's time to find out whether the thing you tried made a difference.
Monday, 3:12am
You're awake again
You open Fempower and type “I'm awake and anxious at 3am”. It logs waking and anxiety, notes you're on day 22 — the pre-period week — and explains that progesterone, your natural sleep-deepener, is at its lowest right now, so the normal 3am cortisol rise wakes you fully.
Monday, 3:14am
Something to actually do
Three suggestions, each with a reason: magnesium glycinate an hour before bed (same GABA pathway progesterone works on), slow carbs at dinner to stop the overnight blood-sugar dip, and a 3am reset — get up, low light, breathe out longer than you breathe in. You tap “I'll try this” on the first two.
Tuesday morning
A check-in that takes ten seconds
How did you sleep, how's your energy, how's your mood. Three sliders. That's it. Over time these are what let Fempower tell the difference between a bad week and a pattern.
Friday
The week before your period
Fempower flags the late luteal phase before it bites: this is your symptom-peak window. The evening nudge is written for it — skip the wine tonight, front-load your protein, and expect the fog to lift on day two of your period.
Ten days later
Did it help?
“It's 10 days since you started magnesium glycinate for 3am waking — has it helped?” Helped, a little, no change, or worse. Add a note if you want. If it helped, it stays on your list. If not, Fempower stops suggesting it and offers the next thing.
Six weeks in
Your own evidence base
Insights stops being empty. “Your 3am waking clusters in the 7 days before a period.” “Brain fog is 3× more likely on days you slept under 6 hours.” And a list of what worked — for you, not for women in general.
The loop
Suggestion → outcome → better suggestion
This is the part almost nothing else does. A tip you read and forget teaches nobody anything. A tip you tried, with a recorded outcome and a date, is data — and after a few cycles it's the most relevant health data you own.
Every suggestion carries its own follow-up interval, because a breathing exercise should be judged in four days and a supplement in fourteen. Fempower waits the right amount of time, then asks once.

I'm awake and anxious at 3am again
That's such a familiar one. Progesterone is your natural sleep-deepener — when it drops in the second half of your cycle, the 3am cortisol rise is enough to wake you fully. You're on day 22, so this fits.
Try magnesium glycinate before bed
200–300mg an hour before bed supports GABA — the same calming pathway progesterone works on. Give it 10–14 days.
